Were you taught the correct Commandments??

By the deceitfulness of Satan many have been taught a variation of Catholic Commandments and not the true written in stone 10 Commandments of the Bible. (Just as I was – on the left side of the picture above, are the commandments I had learned from my catechism growing up as a Lutheran).

Did you know that these changes were prophesied? “And he (the Papacy) shall speak great words against the most High…and think to change times and laws.” (Daniel 7:25)

So, what were some of these changes?

1. The Papacy (Catholic Church) removed the 2nd Commandment, due to their worship of Mary and bowing down to statues. They then moved the Commandments up in number and split the 10th Commandment into two, so there would still appear to be 10 Commandments.

2. The Papacy also changed God’s 4th Commandment; changing God’s Seventh day Sabbath (Saturday) to Sunday (the first day of the week).

NOTE: Please also see comparisons of commandments at the bottom this page. 🙂

“Sunday is a Catholic institution… From beginning to end of Scripture there is not a single passage that warrants the transfer of weekly public worship from the last day of the week to the first.” – Catholic Press, Sydney, Australia, August, 1900.

“Sunday… It is the law of the Catholic Church alone.” – Catholic American Sentinels, June 1893

“Sunday is our MARK of authority… The church is above the Bible, and this transference of the Sabbath observance is a proof of that fact.” – Catholic Record of London, Ontario, September 1, 1923

What does the Lord say?

Matthew 5:17 KJV, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”

“For I am the LORD, I change not;..” (Malachi 3:6)

John 14:15 KJV, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

2 John 1:6 KJV, “And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.”

Hebrews 4:4-11 KJV, “For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. (5) And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. (6) Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: (7) Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. (8) For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. (9) There remaineth therefore a rest (sabbatismos) to the people of God. (10) For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. (11) Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.” (For more information on Hebrews 4 and the Sabbath, visit: https://healinggraceofgod.org/2023/02/21/sabbath-justified/)
